MySpace announced on Wednesday that it would now focus on gaming. Co-president Mike Jones, of MySpace wrote in a blog post that just as music was used earlier, they would concentrate on gaming to revitalize their site.

It launched a revamped games homepage at the Game Developers Conference (GDC) in San Francisco today.

Game activity will posted via users’ notifications and streams. The revamp also includes personalized game recommendation, popular game charts, and the ability to rate games.

Jones also informed that for developers, application engagement and analytics tools had been improved so that users had more information about the demographics of who was using their games, how were discovering them and how were being shared.

The firm also launched a new iPhone app, known as MySpace Neon, which will provide users access to their games on the iPhone.

The games homepage will also include several new games, including Fish Isle, Hoop Fever Live, Kingdoms of Camelot, Paradise Paintball, SPP Ranch, Warlords, Wild Ones, and Zombie Revenge.
